People living in countries which don’t get enough sunlight are sometimes prone to Seasonal Affective Disorder, a type of depression that emerges in particular seasons, especially winter.
But personally, I find one of the most challenging aspects of our digital preoccupation to be the displacement it induces from nature, face-to-face communication, physical activity, and quiet, internally focused moments.
During our reading of George Orwell’s “1984,” I ask students to observe their own relationships as citizens to their government. We also discuss contemporary examples of surveillance and the complexities of living in a world Orwell would have never predicted: one where we the citizens are the ones wielding the cameras and creating a society that challenges the boundaries between public and private life. Often, I will remind students of topics in our text and ask them to search for related articles in the news.
In the 1970s, P&D did not emerge as a clear style with a set manifesto or single patron, but instead was a diffusion of exhibitions, panel discussions, and meetings. The main group included Brad Davis, Cynthia Carlson, Valerie Jaudon, Jane Kaufman, Joyce Kozloff, Robert Kushner, Kim MacConnel, Tony Robbin, Miriam Schapiro, Ned Smyth, and Robert Zakanitch, but there were dozens of other artists closely linked to the moniker and its offshoots.

Have you ever been on a week-long wheeling trip?:Yes, multiple times, just not this far from home. Why do you want to go on Ultimate Adventure?: The Ultimate Adventure series is one that I greatly look forward to every year in the print magazine. The past 2 or 3 years have been great to watch on Youtube. To me it fully represents what the sport/hobby is about. Taking a group of individuals and going on a journey with a varying level of skill, vehicle ability, and driving prowess. There is something to be learned everyday and the UA is a full week of learning. I have been wheeling/off-roading for what equals half of my life now, and yet I have never been on an adventure like this. I have been on multiple week long wheeling/camping trips with friends, but never with a group of like minded strangers. I would love the opportunity to represent my area, my vehicle brand, and myself by being a part of the group. I feel that I have enough experience and capability to be a valid addition to the group, and an overall good companion. I work in outside sales for a living, so I have the ability to take the time for the trip, and use my background to really become a great team member. I have been socially active on Pirate4x4.com since 2002 as "HARVESTER OF SORROW" and am very active on Instagram, Facebook, and various other more local boards. I would be very pro-active in promoting #UA2015 and the brand as a whole. I understand that aspect is crucial to the continued success of the UA series. Lastly, to be given the opportunity to be a member of the 2015 UA would be a dream come true. For back in 2003/2004, before the internet, I applied to be a part of the Camel Trophy series. Though so unrealistic at the time, it was still a dream. Hand writing the application, sending in color shots of some wheeling adventures, licking the envelope and affixing a stamp squarely on the corner…so romantic. Then I had my first son. Then my second. Then, well you know the rest of the story, life just happens, and we struggle to different degrees to just get things done. Now my boys are 17 and 14…and I think it is time to go on that adventure.

“It was never reviewed or marked up by any committee in either the House or the Senate,” the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s David Ruiz wrote. “It never received a hearing. … It was robbed of a stand-alone floor vote because Congressional leadership decided, behind closed doors, to attach this unvetted, unrelated data bill to the $1.3 trillion government spending bill.”
I don’t know about anyone else here, but I’d say that law enforcement would be far safer in the MRAP.
These maple bunk beds make for a sleek boys’ room. Angela Mulder of Visbeen Architects says for this project, they worked with Scott Christopher Homes and planned for the bed from the project’s inception. They had simple cross bracing added above the ceiling level to accommodate the 300-pound weight of the beds. While four chunky chains carry the load from each corner, both beds are secured to the wall along their lengths, making them despite their appearance.

What Project Censored calls attention to is important: “Corporate media coverage of Russiagate has created a two-headed monster of propaganda and censorship. By saturating news coverage with a sensationalized narrative, Russiagate has superseded other important, newsworthy stories.”
The Volkswagen Beetle is known around the world by an endless list of nicknames including Slug Bug, Pregnant Roller Skate, Turtle, Upside-down Bathtub, Bubble, Bell, Frog, Hunchback, Little Flea, and many others. However, it has seldom been referred to as the UFO Beetle. This silver flying saucer Volkswagen has been spotted in California and in the Nevada Desert, perhaps at the infamous Burning Man event that takes place every year the week before and including Labor Day weekend. The flared body on this craft would make it difficult to change a tire unless it can actually hover. The glass dome on top is a nice touch, making the skies and potential outer space destinations visible.
